Lake Tahoe, U.S.
Lake Tahoe is the second deepest lake in the U.S., and the 16th deepest in the world with a depth of 501 m (1,645 feet). The highest temp recorded was 37 degrees C (99 degrees F) and the lowest temp ever recorded was -27 degrees C (-16 degrees F), more climate information is below (picture top). Some animals that are common to this area are black bears, northern goshawk, pika, willow flycatcher, yellow-bellied marmont, Kokanee salmon, and mountain whitefish. The mammals here have short fur, to protect thier body from the sun durring the summer and also keep them warm in the winter. Some popular plants are sugar pine, shooting star, snow plant, and Tahoe yellow cress. The flora here has adapted to keep itself alive in the very hot summers as well as the freezing cold winters.
